Pomochiyan — pomodoro friends
Privacy Policy

Pomochiyan has no accounts and no sign-in. Your study records are stored only on your device and in your own iCloud. The developer cannot read them.
1. Information we handle
| Study records | Start time, length, task name and task colour of each pomodoro. Stored on your device (SwiftData) and, if you use iCloud, synced only to your own private iCloud storage. The developer has no access to it. |

| Settings | Focus and break lengths, theme, toggles and unlocked themes. Stored on your device, and shared within an app group on the same device so the widgets can display them. |
| Friend presence | Only after you accept the terms on the Friends tab: whether you are focusing, how much time is left, the display name you chose and your theme colourare placed in Apple's CloudKit public database. Nothing is written before you accept. You can change the display name at any time in the app, and it need not be your real name. Sharing what you are studying (the task name) is off by default. It is written only when a session starts or stops — there is no continuous reporting. The record can be read by anyone who has your invite link (a random ID). You can delete it from Settings → “Stop using Friends”. |
| Reports | Only when you report someone: the reported person's ID, the display name shown at that moment, the reason you picked and the time are recorded where the developer can review them (CloudKit). This is used solely to review and act on the report, and is deleted afterwards. The IDs you have reported or blocked are kept in your own private iCloud area and are not visible to the developer. |
| Advertising | Google AdMob handles device advertising identifiers (IDFA / IDFV) and information about ad impressions and interactions, for serving ads, preventing fraud and measuring performance. Tracking happens only if you allow it in the iOS permission prompt. |
2. What we do not collect
- Name, email address, phone number, postal address
- Location, contacts, photos, calendar or health data
- The contents of your study records — they are never sent to any server operated by the developer
No analytics SDK is included in the app.
3. Sharing with third parties
The developer does not sell or share personal information. Google processes the advertising information described above in order to serve ads.
iCloud and CloudKit are Apple services. The developer cannot access anything beyond the minimal presence information described above.
4. Notifications
You get one notification, when a pomodoro finishes. It is a local notification composed on your device; no external server is involved.
5. If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland
In these regions the app shows a consent form before any identifier is used for advertising. You can change your choice at any time from Settings → "Ad privacy settings" inside the app.
6. Children
The app is aimed at students preparing for exams and is not designed or directed to children under 13.
7. Deleting your data
- On-device data: deleting the app removes it.
- iCloud data: remove it from iOS Settings → your Apple Account → iCloud → Manage Storage.
- Friend presence: Settings → “Stop using Friends” deletes your record from the public database right away. A record is also treated as offline automatically once its end time has passed. If that does not work, please contact us.
- Invite link: “Invite a friend” → “Create a new link” invalidates the old one, so anyone still holding it can no longer see you.

If this policy changes, this page and the date above will be updated. Significant changes will also be announced inside the app.
